The first instruction is "prepare in the futtocks carrying the bulwarks a cutting at the level of the deck, remove them with the exception of those of the frame no. 8" Can anybody give me a clue as to what the H that means? The thing is, the frames from #8 running sternward support the planking from amidships back to the poopdeck and frames 1 thru 7 don't stick up above deck level anyway. Hence my confusion.
