Howdy,

Thought I would pop in and say hi before starting a build log on my latina HMS Surprise.  A little background on how I got interested.  My dad picked up a Model Shipways kit and basically introduced us to this form of modelling, though I suspect I would have ended up there.  I really like and appreciate projects of this sort, detailed models, eye catching art pieces etc... and this really ticked all of the boxes.  I have done quite a bit of modelling(plastic) and was looking for a statue to display in the home.  After seeing my dad's build and how interesting, satisfying the process was, and the really cool product he had to show afterwards, I was hooked.  I will be starting a build log shortly on my first build.  Look forward to sharing and gleaning as much info as possible.

Cheers.

Hello Rossi... welcome to the forum and smooth sailing. Although rough water is often a better teacher for me as I'm drawn to the trials and errors of others to learn from. Enjoy your builds.

Hi anja. Yes my dad is a member and the one who introduced the family to these models a few months ago. I look forward to being a part of the forum.
