DeAgostini shows the mast only a few centimeters above the deck but I want to build it all....nearly 100cm high, you see the lower part from the mast...the first section and in the background you can see my HMS Supply. I will later show you my building report

I started with the cross-section 1st of february until now. I needed nearly 90 hours and I think I need 100 hours more until it is finished. I do little steps after another and this is the result

Here are the lattest picture and then you are on the current status of the construction. I order more pearwood and it takes some time until I have it.

I hope you like it so far and now I start with my old buildlog from the HMS Supply - First Fleet.

Nice build, love it, great details.

The "squaere" hammocks are called cods if I am not mistaken, and usually for officers and on the V in P also in the sic bearth.

"Normal" sailors used simple hammocks - just the cloth with the strings on the end.

Hello Tom,

I love your build of the crross section of HMS Victory.  You are doing such a beautiful job.  I am currently building the Jotika model of HMS Victory; my build log can be seen on MSW.  I am very interested in building the cross section model but have no idea where to buy the kit.  Will you please be good enough to tell me who sells the cross section kit?  Thank you for your trouble.

Jerry
