That was my first wooden model. It is nice kit and very instructive. If you like to see, my Mare Nostrum is in the gallery: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php/gallery/album/364-al-mare-nostrum/ Hope it gives you some tips. I also built the interiors. Have fun. :)

Current build:

MS - USS Constitution 1:76

Previous builds:

Corel - Flattie 1:25
AL - Mare Nostrum 1:35
Revell - Dom Fernando II e Gloria 1:200

Revell - USS Enterprise 1:720

Trumpeter - USS California 1:700

Hi Drag,

funny little ship - but a good scale. 1:35 makes it possible to take it on a set of diorama as this scale is very popular. You can build ab a small harbor scene with vehhicle, people and a lot of stuff. Could be a very nice littel challenge in between :)

BTW was to Kamloops last year (with the Rocky Mountaineer) Had a few extreme good tasting beers in a craftsman brewery... Very nice place there and the landscape is amazing :)

Best wishes

Max

Next: Friedrich Wilhelm zu Pferde by Euro Model 1:47

Finished: Half Moon Corel;  HMY Royal Caroline Panart; HMB Endeavour Occre 1:54; Fregatte Berlin, Corel, 1:40

A life without dogs is possible... but worth to live?

I think this is a very good idea. Planking your Victory will be a major undertaking. Having never planked a ship before this might be an easier introduction and any experience gained here will only make your Vic better.

Smart move :)

PS: Vic is my mistress. The Ratt is my main squeeze. I take what I learn there and apply it to my Vic.

You will learn a lot building these little wooden ships. The least of which will be how to build little wooden ships

Yeah looking good, but i'm just wondering why you left that rectangular hole in the bow? There's no suppose to be that and you are ment to plank over it! It's just a hole in the false deck to help you align the deck properly.
