the blades supplied were pinless - about 60 free blades in different grades,

I switched her on last night, to check working post un-packing, very quiet and no vibration

hope to use in anger on Saturday

This morning I received a phone call from our postman. There was a package for me. I live in a small village with no mail deliveries - we have to collect mail from the post office. I usually check for mail twice a week and a phone call advising of mail is very rare.

Anyway, I went into the village and collected my package. Apart from receiving a phone call I also received the plans for the kayak I'm building this winter. It's 17 feet long so not a model but it is a sort of hobby.   :)

If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself.

Got my very own copy of "Plank-on-Frame" Models, Volume 1, by Harold A. Underhill. Looks like a font of information for me. Most excellent recommendation.

I'm expecting delivery of two books - Chapman's Architectura Navalis Mercatoria, and Steel's Art of Rigging (Volume 3 of Elements and Practice of Rigging, Seamanship, and Naval Tactics).  The postage tracker says they were out for delivery as of and hour and a half ago, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

Edit: It's here!

Kevin, you are going to love that saw. I have owned a Multimax 14V for over 20 years and it is still a gem. Recently I got this one. The nice thing about it is that I can sit anywhere in the backyard and saw away with only the sound of nature and the cutting of the blade. It is a nice tool if you live in a condominium or apartment.

Best regards
