Hello Black Viking DeAgostini has released a Vasa collecting kit in Italy already. http://www.deagostini.com/it/collezioni/vasa/ I am sure this kit will be available in UK and Germany soon.

PROXXON DSH 2 SPEED SCROLL SAW – REVIEW.
Mr. Pett replied to Blue Ensign's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
Especially for Proxxon machines to buy in Germany it is a great advantage to look here: www.idealo.de Simply type Proxxon and the identifikation of the machine (like MP 400 for the profiling mill) in the search box and you will find the best offers available in Germany. But look carefully for international shipment, before you buy. It always depends on the type of machine you are looking for who is the cheapest provider. For example I have bought the profiling machine 400 MP at SatBerlin (http://www.satberlin.de/) and the surface planing machine AH 80 at SMDV (http://www.smdv.de/). -

Hello Don Yes I have seen a little of your built. The kit is really very interesting if there was not the time issue. On the other hand I think you just have to build and not to change the kit in any way. My current build is a SotS by DeAgostini, but it shall look like the Morgan drawing. Many things have to be changed and management by error is daily business. At the moment I have ripped off the whole planking from the whales upwards, because I did not like my gunports.

Thanks for your answer. Meanwhile I have received some informations from the seller. The kit is made of maple for the frames, pearwood for the hull, cherry for the gun sleds and poplar for the deck planking. Still have to think about buying. Don´t have much time for modelling and a second build might be to much.

Hey folks, Does anybody know, which wood is included in this kit? Pear, cherry, walnut or only plywood? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Dear Nigel, what a pitty, that the work on your amazing model has stopped. As I am building the DeAgostini SotS as well (with influences of the Morgan drawing, as far as my skills allow) I have taken a lot of inspirations, suggestions and ideas from your build log. Here are two pics of my current build. Unfortunately I don't have much time for model building and I have started approximately two years later.
