    1) Restoration a iron antique scale model (1.15) from a "Blazer", a Dutch flat bottom fishingboat with leeboards. I'm not sure how old the antique model is but I guess around 1900.. Most original parts are availible.

    2) Making a technical drawing from the sailingboat "Spray", the yacht witch Joshua Slocum sailed around the world alone in 1897-1901.Intent to build this model in scale 1:10 as a RC model, in traditional builingmethod.

    Present project:

  2. Hi flying dutchman, Nice to see you like the old Dutch ships al lot..! Woow, you are building the Utrechts Statenjacht! The replica of this is has a berth in front of my house!.. If you need more information or specific pictures of parts, just let me know. Its a 2 minute walk to make the pictures. In the summertime she is sailing around in our area with tourists and partys.
  3. Sail now, work later.....

  4. Hi Bob, Great model you made!.... Nice details. I have the idea to build the Spray from Joshua Slocum also. After reading all his books, I see Joshua as my hero! I'm a sailor myself and sailing at sea for 30 years . What he did was, in that time, an amazing trip. After reading his stories I found lots of information about his trips, his boat and a very nice inpressive youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iciZer5cbJ8 So, i desided to build the Spray in scale between 1;10 or 1;15 ( moreless between 73 cm and 1.10cm ) in traditional bent framing method. Many drawings are availible on internet. After several photos I made up my plan in detail. And the Spray must able to sail with RC. So, the structure must be strong enough, mostlikely keperglass and epoxy inside. For sure I will make photos during the builing and leave some meassages and pics here on the forum. regards, Barend
