simulating deck lights with luminous paint?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I got a project where the model will have several tall lights illuminating the deck (the deck of a freighter), they're way to small to run any kind of electrical setup through, so I was playing around with the idea of painting them with a glow in the dark pigment to simulate the light bulb figuring it could look neat when the room is dark, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and could recommend something. I was thinking of trying some superluminova (the stuff they use on watch hands), but it's hard to find a color that's warm enough. Any thoughts?

Does it come in different colors?  I would think the color (watch hands) wouldnt be quite right...
