H.M.S. Triton Cross Section by Bugra - 1:48

Recommended Posts

Hello there !

I've started this build 2 years ago.. But some reason I had to stop it. I've moved in to a new house and I got my own shipyard now.. So I've decided to continue this. It's  being really hard while not using any electric powered tools. But no regrets :)

Here are the build notes and photos.

Thanks for your time..

Cheers, Bugra.  :champagne:

Very nicely done, Bugra. I know well the joys and miseries of working only with hand tools on this project. It can be done.

Bob

Thanks rafine. It's hard bor joyful.. It'll be done :)

Bugra,

nice start. You appear to have done a good job with the frames, despite the lack of machinery. Lot of tedious work cutting out frame components with a fret saw. You must be a very patient man.

Regards,

Grant.

Thanks Boccherini.. We're all patient, aren't we :)

Welcome aboard Bugra!

A pity the quality of the pics... Are the old ones or are you using a mobile phone?

Good work so far!

Danioel.

Thanks harvey1874. Sorry for the quality of photographs. I was using a mobile phone, will be better later..

I am always in awe of scratch builders. But I take my hat off to you doing it by hand - a true craftsman

Thanks Craig. Actually, it's a bit hard sometimes.. Again, so much fun :) Thanks for your compliments.

Cheers, Bugra.

Here is the last update on my Triton Cross Section. Guess I can continue this about a month later.. But I don't know, I may finish other baby early..

Thanks again for your time.

Hello Bugra!

I´ll copy that idea of the syrege for the PVA... I always pour a small amount of it on the table and use a 3mm brush to put in place the glue. Your idea look faster. Good one!

best wishes!

Daniel.

I echo everyone's comments.  Your workmanship is unbelievable.

I also like the syringe for the glue.

Great skill all round.

  • 1 month later...

Very nice work, Bugra.  Simple tools are often the best - as you have shown.
