Hello Dan,

I've been away from any ship-stuff for quite a long time now (i'm a daddy now! pirate1 ). I have just discovered that you started on your own Xebec! Very good job on the lifeboat, clean work! I especially like the choice of colors.

I am looking forward to see you start on the main ship, and eager to know what will be the outcome of your request to Occre with regards to the warped keel. Are you planning some kit-bashing? -- Don't ever think of closing shop here again!!! So we're 3 guys here building a Cazador now! Very nice! Cool

Keep us posted!

Cheers from the U17-Soccer-World-Champion-Country, Sam

Hello Mistral, thank you for your post, don't worry, I wonb't think of closing down the shop ever again.
In fact I just logged in to paste Occre's response that I have just received :

Dear modeller,
Thank you for trusting in our brand and acquiring one of our models.
I can assure you that we will send you the parts that you requested
to your home address as soon as possible.
We send our best regards,
Customer Attention
OcCre

Now the funny thing is, that I used an online translator to make my message in Spanish, and the reply I get back is in English :-)

PS : Only after receiving this answer, I just realized I should have written them that the stand that's mentioned on the box wasn't included. Oh well, still more then time enough for that.

Sounds like they're going to replace the part. That's good news.
Better than making a new one yourself.
You can always ask them about the stand later.
I've read lots of positive comments about the quick responses from kit suppliers when asked to replace parts.

All except for AL that is.

Looking forward to some pictures.
I'm curious about the Xebec

cheers, Bernie

Just a little update on the ship's boat ; the flooring has been placed, as well as the bench on the front, that is actually a lasercut piece of wallnut triplex in which I have scored lines every 2mm to simulate planks.

The bench at the rear is just dryfitted because I have to reshape it a little to close some gaps.

The long boat is a work of art in itself, with results this good, I can't wait to see the Cazador. Shocked Cool

P.S That laptop looks familiar, I've got the same one, just with the UK keyboard! Smile

Hi Dan... the scoring on the bow seat came out rather successfully. Are you planning to treat the stern in a similar way?
cheers, Bernie

Thank you for the compliments, I must admit that I didn't really expect it to work that well :-)
Though, it's far from finished yet.

Anyway, I received a package from Occre this morning ... wow, what a service they give ; I asked replacement for 1 part, and they sent me all the parts for a second hull.

@Caroline : when I played WoW for 5 years I grew used to the UK keyboards, when I got this laptop, it took me a while and numereous typing errors to get used to the Azerty again.
And PS : I'm very impressed with your alternative Agamemnon Wink
