 It is not every day that we need to trim a strip from 1/16" x 1/16" to 1/16" x 1/32". Here is a small jig however that is doing a good job.

1. Glue two strips of 1/16" x 1/8" spaced out of 1/16".
2. These two small pieces form a tunnel of 1/16" by 1/16".
3. At the exit of this tunnel the thickness of the trips is decreased of 1/32"

1. Two wedges are glued to hold the razor blade (2) at 1/8" from the exit of the tunnel.
3. Strip trimmed at 1/16" x 1/32"

Jerry hi,

Out of curiosity. Why do you always quote the full message you are referring or answering to? Am I missing something here?

I don't mean anything by it, but especially when the original message contains photos, it makes the whole post longer and slightly more difficult to read. Please, don't take any offence by my remark.

 Good question Jerry.

Two passes with the sand block and paper No 220 and you don't see any difference between the original side and the trimmed one.

Shocked Vasilis,

I thought you were in England !

Hubert hi,

I'm leaving for England on the 30th and coming back on the 13th.

BTW This Thursday I'll be taking 25 of my students on a two day cruise on a two masted traditional Greek wooden vessel. Parts of the journey will be under sail. I'm really looking forward to this trip and really hope the youngsters will enjoy it too.
