Bending brass strip for trim, headrails etc. can be a bit troublesome , especially if it is against the wide dim of the strip. It just wants to twist in the narrower dim. Try the following simple idea , two fat screws in a block of wood. The first is a dome head and it is tightened down so that the brass strip is a close fit under the head. The strip can now be bent in a nice controlled series of pulls.
