This is a Chesapeake Bay charter fishing boat. They charge "by the head" hence the name. The scale is 1:16 - the model is about 32" long overall. It is not a model of a specific boat, but I was inspired by a real boat named Miss Violet moored at Kent Island, MD. There are progress pics from the build on my website - modelboatyard.com
Your Avatar suggests to me that you like wildlife, for example, Geckos... I'm sure you noticed the porpoise pair frolicking at the stem of the Tiger. But did you notice that the captain is pointing to them - and, her "significant other" with long blonde hair is at the tiller?
Thanks for your comments. I also messed up the fly bridge railing -- one of the posts snapped off. I fixed it with CA gel glue.
I buy my Amati kits from Ages of Sail in the US, and they actually had a spare kit they were cannibalizing for parts and got me a missing throttle for this kit. But I see you said "buggered" so you may not be in the US, and in any event that service is reserved for customers who bought the original kit from them, I suspect.
