This model was made in 1973 using a coconut pod as the hull form, the rope was all made from embroidery floss, all the other materials are bamboo, cotton, the sail was made from an old roller blind cloth (cotton) that had been boiled and stained with tea. The rigging all funtioned as per full size practice. The anchor is a pebble. Overall length is approx 24 inches.

This model formed part of a fictional culture called Qopodxlz who were centred at the Island of Tristan Da Cuna in the southern Atlantic 3500 years ago.

I had a show that included other "artifacts"
