The problem with making your own Jorgensen screw clamps is that you need to be able to cut left handed thread for both the screw and the nut inside. I have a number of the threaded bars with both left and right handed threads, but never bothered to invest in a matching tap for the nuts. Besides, the ones I have are way too big for modeling.
