  1. Let me know details davemather@cogeco.ca. Thanks.
  2. Would be willing to pay shipping for victory kit. Is it still available? Dave Mather. Davemather@cogeco.ca
  3. Thanks for the great photos! The Niagara is in Collingwood - participating in war of 1912 reenactments.
  4. Hello I'm retired from Dale Carnegie after over 40 years. Built plastic models as a teen. Have built Cutty Sark (plastic) Constitution (plastic). Working on small wooden Bounty and Swordfish (Classic Plastic kit). Still need to do rigging on both. Just purchased the Norske Love (Billings). Probably over my head, but I'm going to give it a go. Hope to get some support and help here.
  5. Hello everyone - new here and to shipbuilding. Just bought a classic Billings kit - Norske Love with completed sails. I have photocopies of plans - but the plans show Part 1 slanted - as do various builds here. However, my plans show part 1 straight up. (see picture). Any help is appreciated. Dave Mather

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model shipcraft.

The Nautical Research Guild puts on ship modeling seminars, yearly conferences, and juried competitions. We publish books on ship modeling techniques as well as our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, whose pages are full of articles by master ship modelers who show you how they build those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you what details to build.
