  1. I am really new to this. I need some advice: "How best to paint brass/copper chain to make it look like black anchor chain without getting the links all clogged up with paint." With so many experts out there some one can probably help me, but I'm not sure which forum to use to get the word out to the experts. Can you help?
  2. Is there a trick to painting brass chain to make it look like black anchor chain??? Every time I try to do it, I wind up with a big mess, paint clogging up the chain links, bright brass shining through the black paint, etc. There must be some way to do it properly. I can't have an 18th century ship with bright brass anchor chain. Appreciate any help. Randy Evers
  3. Anyone know of a vendor that sells wooden ship's wheels. I'm building the Model Expo USS Constitution and their kit has Brittannia metal castings. I don't want to paint it--I'd rather have wood. Randy Evers
