    Trying to solder small 1mm copper tubes to a 2mm copper strip. The strip will be cut to the required length once the soldering is completed. Would like a low temperature solder if possible but something that will hold good. I would appreciate your ideas and suggestions.

    Since only a small portion of the cannon's end is seen on the gun deck in most model 1800 warships---what is used to simulate the cannon? Or is the complete cannon in place but not just seen? My thanks to those providing answers.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
