Camouflage applied to Langley prior to her sinking? If so any idea what colours might have been used Martin.

I am inclined to agree with the other comments, it’s the lighter shade for me as I am sure the bleaching effect on the open deck would have taken place. ( but of course I may be wrong) Martin.

Absolutely love the weathering effects you have carried out so far, you have a marvellous eye for it. Martin.

I will take my hat off to you Ed, you have produced a very beautiful ship, and thank you for letting us come along for the journey. Martin

Thank you Ed, along with Grant it really is a joy to see the updates on Naiad. I also noticed your neat little sanding block in the photos, very nice. Regards Martin

Hi Anthony, I have to admit that the price of getting one of Jim's table saws across the pond can be off putting, but believe me if you can put up with the cost of shipping you will not be put off with the saw. like everyone else who has one,we would to a man, sing its praises. They don't come any better. Martin. p.s. I looked at everything over here and could not find anything to match it.

Really clever way of making the Frames Danny, do you have a special jig for moving the frame over the saw when it is being rebated ? You have never seemed to drop your standard of workmanship on this build, but keep pushing the standards higher, well done. Regards, Martin.
-
Nice work Rusty, it is good to make your own mark on the build and of course you are not only the builder of, but also the captain of your ship. Regards, Martin.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
