About Me
Career: Served apprenticeship as a Toolmaker in Harrogate (17-21) and worked as a Toolmaker for about 10 years after that. I then worked for a company in Tadcaster for 32 years as, initially, a fitter building special purpose machinery. I then had a career change at the same company and became a programmer/database administrator which I loved. I trained and studied hard for this as I just love programming. After doing this for 15 years I found I missed working with my hands which is why I got into home DIY & model making. I'm now retired but still keep my hand in on the programming side (mainly databases & websites). I used to make plastic models as a child but stopped when teenage stuff got in the way. Now I have the time I am really getting back into it but I wish I had done it years ago.
