About Me
I started my ship building (scratch) activities about 20 years ago when I accidentaly came about a box containing all af Chapman Mercatoria prints in A3+ size sheets at a shop for old books. This fired my interest in historical ship Building technology and naval history of Europe, Asia and the Americas. 10 years ago I started my scratch build of English cutter No.6 on Plan LX. Due to job requirements with many and long periods of absence from home I 've been able to follow this project very seldomly only so that I've completed the hull (POB) only.
Being a sexagenarian I am about to retire next year; I presently acquire tools and machinery to equip my workshop by end 2019. Then I will work intensively and regularly on ship modelling tasks. I want to plunge into CAD construction and learn this technology completely new to me, grown up in the analogue era. 😉
