  1. Hahaha! Exactly. This makes me wonder if it is worth moving up from teh 1:350 benchmark kit where at least the errors and corrections are readily fixable and discussed at length already
  2. So there seems to be a good amount of debate over errors in the cast of the hull. I kind of want to see the final mold before I put the money down on this. Also, would it be wrong to have the Revell 1:200 Research Ship that discovered the wreck modelled alongside?
  3. So...... if you aren't using all those discarded pieces.... fancy parting ways with them?? LOL
  4. I'm almost waiting for he day he ends up with all the peices back on the sprues and in the box.
  5. I beleive that Mr. Dafi has a deep genetic allergy to building out of box. Perhaps with the right medication this will be possible someday in the future............
  6. Is this the new year new destruction plan? Not sure about this plan, seems to lead to making the rest of us even more jealous!
  7. Every single time I check this build I get excited and terrified to start my one. I know that I will be ordering every Dafi option before I start, already started collecting copper sheeting etc. I don't expect to be near this level but you have certainly more than shown what is possible despite limitations of the kit. Amazing. Simply amazing work and research.
  8. I would think you would leave the tackle in place until construction was completed! What if the rudder drops onto a shipyard worker or similar? The liability suit may well stall the build progress for quite sometime with investigations to be completed and appealed etc. The level of research you have put into this is simply amazing. I would even suggest your build log would be worthy of publishing as a book once you are done. That is assuming you ever get there, how many years has it been so far? HAHA As far as moving aboard goes, I would rather have an officers space, somewhere clean. And I will be sure to keep the minions, sailors and marines looking their sharpest for your display casing! My wage expectations are meager and are in line with current market expectations of an officer rank in HMS Victory's service.
  9. I have officially decided to quit my job, get shrunken and come live onboard. It's too much a piece of living art!!!
  10. Been watching this build for a while, the more you do the more amazed I am. I have this kit sitting in storage waiting for space at the table. Not sure that I am game to start it though with the level you have set here!! Maybe in a decade when peoples memories start to fade a little. Stunning work, especially as I know exactly how big this kit is (or isn't as the case may be!) Duncan
