  1. It does appear looking at the lower photo that the taller men were"in the middle".
  2. I just want to step back a bit and say the the carving in this topic is wonderful and also all the conversation about the methods, woods, and various bits of information in this area. Thanks for doing this and I'm looking forward to your next project.
  3. Looks pretty darn good from here, Greg. The detail of the water splashes and peaks are something most modelers never do.
  4. I'm saddened to hear about this, Kevin. Dogs are family and for many, even closer in some ways. Remember the good times and love the new pup. The dogs know when we're sad and will help iwth healing though the missing them never goes away.
  5. Hmm.. scratch the word "jets".... my mind wandered a bit and for some reason typed that in. <sigh>
  6. I'd be surprised if after a few days firing they could hear anything. Not just tanks but any "noise makers".... jets, sidearms, MG's, etc. Many if not most of us who were in the military and especially combat zones end up with hearing aids.
  7. Yes, definitely. Then just add posts for the the unboxing and building.
  8. I knew we could count on you to herd some penquins this way, Keith. Well done.

  10. Hi Micha, I really don't have an answer with those two models as I've never done one. I hope someone else can provide an answer.
  11. Micha, you might consider the three ship beginner series from Model Expo. It's designed by one our members here who's well known to modelers and will get through the basics of planking, and rigging in a step by step manner.
  12. We do have some folks here witth good libraaries and knowledge that might be able to help with plans such as @allanyed
  13. I tend to believe the term "boxwood" is very generic and used for many woods that are not even close to the stuff we want. I remember seeing a wooden box for soda bottles and being told it was boxwood because that's the wood for boxes. It was a plywood box for crying out loud.
  14. I can't help with the planes but many of us are using lasers (so are the manufacturers). There's so many now on the market in all sizes and power levels compared to a few years ago.
  15. That may be something we'll never know. Family secret? Here's two photos.I found.... I would say that she was probably taller than him. 16. Great work on the diorama OC. I'm sorry to hear about your fur baby.
  17. Welcome to MSW, Scott. I'd like to suggest that you open log here on MSW for the new kits. It's a great way to meet other builders from around the world and also it's great for getting help when you need it.
  18. Peace and our prayers be with you Bob. From what you say, you're in good hands between the surgeon and first mate.
