  1. Patrick, your idea to use metal tape on the boiler looks perfect, and I like the glue dots for rivet heads, how did you get them so uniform? my Chaperon is still on backorder but I expect I will be starting mine in a month to six weeks.
  2. Hi Chris, just found your build log today, don't know how I have missed it, I love this era and you are doing a beautiful job, As for your strange modelers affliction I have that exact same problem! If you find a cure for it let me know, I am afraid to count how many unfinished models I have on my shelf.

Hi Nic, sorry to hear you had to go through that surgery, after I had mine it took me about 2 months to get back to normal so be patient, be sure to walk everyday it helps tremendously in your recovery, don't let yourself sneeze on any account! I sneezed once and it felt like I have been ripped open again. take care, john
  13. Wow! Kevin, I was just looking at your SD-14 build, fantastic, can't wait to see what you do with this trawler! The idea of a cut-a-way model sounds fascinating to me. will be following your progress eagerly. A few years ago I saw a cut-a-way model of the Morgan at the museum in Mystic and fell in love with the idea of it. Am attaching a picture of Mystic's model of the Morgan.
  14. Me too. If we had enough of us within driving distance of each other we could get a club going. I live in the middle of the state east to west, on the southern border, between Gainsville and West Plains. about 2 hours south of Springfield

  18. Welcome to MSW from a fellow Missourian. Rattlesnake is a very nice looking model you should enjoy that. If you do make the trip to Boston to see Constitution be sure to go for more than a couple of days, there are so many great museums to see in New England. I did about a two week trip a few years ago and had a blast. Good luck with your Rattlesnake build!
