  1. Pictures to follow once I figure out how to do that
  2. My real name is Tom. I am just a few steps ahead (planking). I am following the instructions and skipping around. I think I am going to go ahead and get this first planking complete.
  3. I am not new to this site but have been inactive as far as posts. This project is the same as the one i am currently working on and has sparked my interest and participation if that is ok.
  4. I have been ship modeling off and on for about 30 years. Honestly did not know this site existed. I am a retired US Navy submarine sailor and now want to do build the models full time. Currently building Hms Victory by AL. Glad to see so many others interested in this art and can see I can get all the help and pointers I need. Permission to come aboard!
  5. Does anyone know how I can get a replacement CD with the plans on it from AL, 1/84 victory model

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model shipcraft.

The Nautical Research Guild puts on ship modeling seminars, yearly conferences, and juried competitions. We publish books on ship modeling techniques as well as our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, whose pages are full of articles by master ship modelers who show you how they build those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you what details to build.
