  1. This is a great kit that builds up to a nice model. I built one when they first came out a few years ago. I can't wait to see what you do with yours.
  2. I'm looking forward to following along on this build. Also, I like the pinewood derby aircraft carrier on your workbench.
  3. Bummer, this build has been fun to follow. Looking forward to your return. Good luck with your projects.
  4. I think it is so cool that there are three wonderful Revell Cutty Sark builds going on simultaneously with a lot of constructive advice being shared by and amongst the builders. All three are very inspirational and have me very excited to get started on mine once I clear the decks of some of my other projects.
  5. Any updates on this incredible build that you can share? The anticipation is killing me.
  6. Veszett, Yes, I will be doing a build log for the Passat. I'm in the process of finishing up Revell's Colombia Express, and Academy's USS Reuben James first. I wish I had done a build log of those two because I feel that a build log helps keep the building process moving forward. Cheers, Wayne
  7. Your modifications to the catwalk support posts is very well done. The Passat should be getting started in February.
  8. Chris, your PE work is very clean and precise. I’m really enjoying watching this one come together.
  9. There is some really cool things happening on this model. I’m glad to see this up and running again.
  10. Chris, Really good to see you back at it. Nice job as usual. I have a couple of questions: 1. Are you building a "maritime museum" somewhere in your home? If so, please share some pics, I'd love to see how you're displaying these beauties. 2. I've always had a love for ocean liners but have had a hard sourcing these kits. Other than Ebay, there doesn't seem to be any retailers. What's your source? Looking forward to more installments of this build. Thanks, Wayne
  11. Bruma, Your build log is a joy to follow and the fact that you take the time to answer everyone's question with thought and respect is commendable. I truly appreciate the amount of detail that you have put into this ship and it is a great example of how a plastic model can be turned into a true museum piece. I will be referring to this log quite often when I have a chance to get back to the work bench. Best Regards, Wayne
  12. That is a phenomenal work of art! I've been waiting excitedly for this update and you did not disappoint. I am truly amazed by the level of detail. I can't wait to see more.
  13. Chris, are you lighting this model? I ask because it looks like you added LED light stripes on either side at the main deck level.
  14. So, after tackling the Normandie, which came out phenomenal I might add, you decided to go after all the 1/600 ships? Sounds like a great idea!
  15. Very nice build to date and thank you for the tips like the plank soaking vessel and how to age chain. I also like your "time machine" approach to the build log as a way to catch us up. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
  16. Ian, Great work on the Preussen. I have the Passat waiting in the wings and will be referring back to your build log when I finally start mine. Cheers, Wayne
