Gaff rigged sloop
I intended that this 20" LOA represent a 30' boat. The model would be RC. The construction is the lift method with the inside carefully hollowed out. I followed no plan and carved what suited my eye. After getting the RC components installed and functioning I found the model even without the sails too "tender" and floating well below her "lines. A complete failure from the intended purpose. However it makes a nice shelf model and keeps the "Admiral " happy.

Untitled Album
This brigantine started out as a from jut a hunk of wood I just whittled on . It came out OK si I decided to add some deck feature just made up in my mind. That looked OK so I got some mast and rigging plans for working trading vessel. after completion I decided to convert her to a whaler do some of the deck features had to go and a try works substituted. of course whale boats wit their associated gear was next. .. Well what the heck how, about a whale just ready to be cut in ? Of course a few crew running around would help too . But one definitely does not belong. Can you pick this one out and even what it was doing before shipping out on a whaler ?

Fire survived clipper ship
This is a model that I built while living aboard a 27'sail boat.
After completion the model and the boat survived a fire aboard.
Due to confined space the model is small only 8 1/2 inches from bowsprit to spanker boom. Fortunately only the rigging was lost ,so I had to re rig it later. Just the tip of the main Ta gallant shows scorch burns
