Welcome every body. Finally i am there. Tree build up to now,to build some experience and skill, for this project. I am glad to start the Santa Ana. I open the box this morning,to check all parts, fitting, wood, and instruction. I have to admit the instruction manuel is fantastic minimum tree picture per page, and plan are well done. The cut for parts is also good,i just hope the enthusiasm of first view will continue. So now first step after counting parts,is to number them and separate them from the form. I will come back with some picture later. P.S If i am doing something wrong feel free to help me. Thanks to all.

Started her in 2010, then RL got busy and she was packed away for 7 years. now is the time to get back to building her. I was lucky I packed everything away really good. had only a little damage, and I did that unpacking her. I don't have any of the pictures from when I planked the hull but will pick up my log from hear. this will be slow work for me I have not did any modeling in 7 years so don't want to rush back into things and make any big mistakes. (more then what I have already)

Hello everyone, I am a model ship builder from Spain and after viewing this formum I've decided to show you some pics of the model that I'm building now, the 1784 ship Santa Ana. I have pictures of all the progress but they are too much, so I only upload the pictures of the beginning and the current status of the model. I hope you like and if you want, you can tell me your opinion. A greeting, San Martín.

This is a place holder for my Santa Ana build that I started on MSW1. The build was started in 2011 and the last construction was in January of 2012, the ship is patient and has been sitting in my shop since then waiting for me come back and finish it. When I stopped work in January of 2012 I told my self it was because I wanted to work on my genealogy, which I did. In reality it was because I could not see the work due to cataracts in both eyes, over the last month I have had surgery to fix this problem and am now going to start work on and finish Santa Ana. About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
