Hi Kees

Simply magnificent!  I'm curious, though.  Every parent says that they 'don't have a favourite child'.  So, tell me, which one of the triplets is 'your favourite'???

Cheers

Patrick

Hello Patrick. Every part is marked with a letter. The parts with the letter K (ees) get 'some'B) more attention and where the others get resing casted parts, I only use original parts. My model will be weathered like heavely used fishingship while the others get minimal weathering.

So yes.... I Have a favourite:cheers:

Aha Kees!  I thought there might be a 'favourite'!

I'm looking forward to seeing the favourite, ie weathered one, develop as each update is posted.

Have a great week.

Cheers

Patrick

Added some red accents. The ship's name on the side and the letters vD (van Duijn) stands for the owners name. Also painted the puls winches. For the (orange) pulse wire. This wire leads to the net on which are electrodes attached. These electrodes send pulses to the seabottome so the fish jumps up in the net. Much less damage to the bottom and less fuel consumption.

I've looked for those but they were not the corect size. So I had to take apart an old revell kit of A german half track and some other pieces to build (just) the spools.

Lots of work done on the Pelikaan. Frontmast, deckhatches, blocks and pulleys painted. Wooden deck, and a lot of other smaller jobs done.

And a beginning on the rigging. A very big job to do but also to find out how it has to be done

These models are so nice, I cannot find the proper phrase in English.

Do I remember correct that you intended to weather your own model? Have you been salt chipping in secret?

I desided to keep the weathering minimal. There is allready some wearing and tearing but nog to mutch.

In the first picture you can see the kind of weathering I'm talking about. On the hatches and the bullwarks. The same (light) weathering is all over the ship
