Just a reminder that the 34th Annual Northeast Ship Model Conference and Show will be held this Saturday, April 30.  This event will be held at the Port 'n' Starboard Convention Center at Ocean Beach Park in New London, Connecticut from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  The Conference and Show is open to the public for a small fee at the door.

Last year there were over 100 ship models on display and many vendors.  This is your chance to see some of the ship models that are in build logs here on MSW and also meet and talk to the many MSW members who attend this event.

If you are within driving distance of this event, you do not want to miss it.  This is one of the top shows in the country for ship modelers.

I am looking forward to this event.

I am looking forward to seeing you guys and the other MSW members Saturday.  Maybe all MSW members should meet up around 11:00 for a MSW group picture.  We did this several years ago.  It was a lot of fun putting names to faces.  Unfortunately, my name got put with a much younger and better looking guy.

See everyone Saturday.

Thanks Jack.    Lovely work on both those ships.

Ah.... that was the Licorne I saw in Joe's pics..  the "as built" version not the "as captured"...  Naturally, I like it.  :)  ;)

Thanks Joe for all of the pictures that you posted and also for the CMMS Club picture.  I have attached a picture of the Ship Model Society of New Jersey Club members who were in attendance.  I somehow made it in their picture (first person on left) even though I am not a member.

At the show, Ron Neilson (hollowneck) had his Amati Revenge model on display. He took second place in the People's Choice award and I thought I would share some pictures of his model.

Another model that I was interested in was Dan Pariser's Thames River Skiff.   This is a very unique and beautiful model.  It is made of Cherry.  Dan and Chuck are working on a kit version of this model to be released by the end of the year through Syren Ship Model Company.
