Nice photos, Tadeusz! Note the large roofed building in the background. It's the last surviving early 19th century covered building slip in existence.

I used to work on the Gannet as volunteer, one of my jobs was to sand down the teak deck edges , don't know the proper name for these and treat with teak oil. Looks like they need redoing. Lovely old ship which takes a lot of looking after, lots of scraping off rust and painting. One of my friends put a baseball hat on the gannet's figurehead. Master shipwright not happy.


Just remembered have a picture of the covered slipway from the inside.
