I have searched high and low on this website but cannot find much to help me. Those commercially available are pretty limited in their offering. But I am stubborn enough to want to produce my own straps, I guess from brass. So, in spite of Antony's response, has anybody got a method that they use ? Maybe a search for gunport and hinges while in that forum and another in the kit forum? I've seen quite a few very well done hinges there as well as in the kit logs. They cast a hinge set for side dump gondolas part No. 5118 that are dead ringers for gun port hinges they even have bolt heads!
