But yes im sure it will be entertaining when PE is accidently glued to my fingers and forehead.

Always been a glutton for PE branding ... or just masochistic tendency extrapolated to modelbuilding? I just do not see the advantage of having rungs running up your forhead ... the doors, and hatches ... now that's practical for brain surgery ...

Love them guns, Scott. Even without the rungs they will turn out magical, so with them ...

Now, just imagine there are lots of modelers who do this in 1:700 scale. Makes me say to myself..."what the h-e-double hockey sticks?"

Mmmmmm - yep!   this was my first attempt at 1/700 scale including a bit of scratching, but minus the rails.

I bought a set of "flip up" magnifying lenses that I can wear like glasses. I also got a pair of those  "extra hands" clamps that are on a mount. The combination of the two make dealing with small and finicky parts (like PE) really easy. I can hold the main part in the clamps and then use my hands (along with the magnifiers) to position and glue the small bits into place.

Ok so I try my hardest to glue the grab handles on and I actually did it. It just took sooooo long and I went through 8 of them just to installed 2.  Im not going to put grab handles on the other 3 guns. Its above my skillset.

But 1/200 is HUGHE ... you should try it at 1/350 ;)

Thanks for giving it a go and showing us that it can be done! I was pretty certain that you would be able to do it.

Awesome work! I have the urge to do another big build this winter; Bismarck with all the aftermarket goodies is lurking in my stash and is one of the candidates. Looking through this thread makes it even more tempting.

Go for it,   enough of us on here would love to see it.

The master pattern makers are using 3D printing to do up their masters nowadays. I just got a resin kit of a railroad boxcar with oil-canning of the sides. Relatively easy to model in HO (1/87) scale. Don't know how tough it would be, showing these effects, on 3D masters for our usual steel ship scales, like 1/200 or 1/350.

I think all I can manage to say at this point is WOW, and I'm not even a huge Bismarck fan. She was a good looking ship but you have made her look fantastic!

Hi Chap,

Awesome Build and enjoying the journey, looking 100%!!

Are you going to continue the "Dazzle" Camouflage to the rest of the Superstructure? (Or Not)

(Interested as I have this one in storage....)

My Hat is filmy off to you regardless!!

(I hope that when I get to it, I can do as well as you have.)

Any movement on your Cabinet options?

Cheers....HOF.

Wow thank you everyone for the compliments! i just don't see the great model you guys see. Maybe because I look at it all the time?   I just don't think it's that great. Exceptable but not great.

HOF,    Originally  my plan was to  continue the camouflage up the superstructure. But I messed up the stripes on the hull so bad that it was impossible for me to continue the rest of it.  It really bummed me out at first,  but now I think it would've been more than I could handle.   Nothing yet on the cabinet. I am procrastinating that as long as possible.
