Good Morning Everyone,

 

My Name is Hal, and I am looking forward to retirement in the next year or two.  In the meantime I am to have surgery to replace my right knee.  The recovery time is expected to be approx 6 to 8 weeks before I can return to work.  It's my hope to take on modeling in my retirement.  So now that I am anticipating 6 to 8 weeks of "Confinement" I think I would like to start my new hobby.  I have decided that I would like to do a "Beginner" level model and have chosen the Pauline, from Blue Jacket Models.  It's listed as a beginning level ship, so that's why I'm going there.  Any comments???

Hal,

Actually I decided to build the revenue cutter due to the cost of the kit and I felt that it had all the build elements that I wanted to employ as a beginner.

 

By building the revenue cutter will give me experience with little bit of rigging and also help me find out what tools I really need and to build a tool kit, and will have elements of finishing and detail work as well as painting prep and painting
