Hi Michael

Yes, you’re right!  Futuristic indeed on the outside and dare I say it, if you googled the actual yacht (Khalilah), I reckon you’d agree that its interior is slightly gaudy and ostentatious (to my tastes, anyway) on the inside.

I can only only try to replicate what I can at this tiny scale, though.

Thanks for dropping by.

Cheers

Hi Denis, Lawrence and everyone else on MSW!!!!

Thanks for your all of your comments and Likes!  They’re always greatly appreciated.

Whilst my working life has gone into overdrive over the past few months, (leaving precious little time for MSW), I have been able to make a little headway on Genisis’ interior. As you can see, the main saloon and the owner’s suite up for’ward have been started, as has the interior of the sun deck’s accommodation.

Lots of fun still to go.

A big Happy Father’s Day to all dad’s in Australia today!!!!

Cheers.

Good to hear from you Patrick! Loved the Leopard rug, very classy.

Thanks Vaddoc!

I’m glad you liked the ‘leopard skin’ rug under the curved settee in the saloon.  It’s actually cut from the latest Nespresso coffee brochure!  It’s amazing what a bit of imagination can do when you’re looking for colourful additions to a ship’s decor!

Have a great week.

Cheers.

Hi folks!

Another quick update. I’ve done a bit more work on the interior of the Sky Lounge on the top deck. Everything is dry-fitted at this stage.

I hope you enjoy these photos.

All the best.

Hi Patrick,

Great progress! She’s starting to come together inside!

Also, I showed some of the pictures on your log to the colleague of mine familiar with Khalilah, and he was impressed that you pulled off the hull form, especially at such a small scale!

That’s a great compliment, for sure. Pls pass on my appreciation to your colleague. To be honest, this is definitely the most complex hull I’ve ever had to build.

Kudos to the designers who had the imagination and talent to design something like this!

All the best.

Cheers.

Nice interior. I presume you use plastic for the cushions e.a. have you ever tried milliput or another one of those putties to make you cushions? You can shape them a lot easier ... just a thought which came up when I saw those "pillow rows" ...

Cheers

HI John

Many thanks!  That's a mighty nice compliment.

On a more serious note, I hope you're (and all of our American MSW members) safe and well, what with the Hurricane that's blowing through your country at the moment.

Stay safe.

Cheers
