It's coming along very nicely! :dancetl6:

Thanks Rich, I'm quite enjoying this build.

It's a refreshing break from building and flying rockets, not to mention the admiral does't mind this hobby as much

as I'm not traveling around the country flying them.

I'm doing the same. I think I've bought more books to build my Syren than I did for college.

This is the first time I saw your build

Quite impressive. I hope mine turns out half as good as yours.

You are right about the number of articles and books to come up to speed on this build.

If I studied this hard in college, I'd be retired by now.

But this is so much more fun.

From what I see so far your work is very impressive!

With this hobby it seems that the more work is done the more is needed to know and the more books that are bought. LOL

I agree... It is so much more fun

Current Build - U.S. Syren

2nd Build - HMS Bounty Launch

Ambitious first project in 30yrs but I like what I see.The fact that you rolled forward on a complicated project and looking at few other builds is giving me confidence to proceed with my Pride of Baltimore.Thks for motivation. ;) Kevin

The best advice I found on this site, not sure who said it. "Treat every piece of the build as a small project in itself."

I didn't have all the skills or knowledge starting out to complete everything I have done so far. Just take it slow and ask questions if not sure.

The response to questions from this community is fantastic.
