G Class Destroyer by cog - FINISHED - Trumpeter - 1/350 - PLASTIC - from Tribal Class kit

Recommended Posts

Thanks all for the likes and the positive feed back, it keeps the spirits up and the going less tough

I'll try to get those numbers on at the sides, Yesterday eve after studying the rust streaks etc, I perceived it to be possible without to much fuss, and some elbow grease ... so the speck of light is growing to lamp size ... good to have some additional light sources to work with, else I would be in the dark ... I wonder how she might have turned out if I really had to ...

That's a lot of praise from our creative source ... next depends I can start on HMCS Huron, or transform that kit to HMCS Athabaskan (I like her camouflage better). However, there are some changes to be made to her furniture, which, after this, shouldn't be to much of a problem, and there is the 3' monster to continue with ... we'll see. First cleaning the deck, I had to much lazy sailors aboard for cleaning

How you built her is your choice. You built what made her came alive for you. Just being able to see her after reading about her so many times in books through the years was a reward enough for me. There are far too many ships like this that deserve to be remembered but are never manufactured or built for some reason.

A brilliant build of a gallant vessel. My hat's off to you, Carl.

Steven

Thank you Steven, not half as brilliant as your dromond with it's rubber "yard garters". Much appreciated though.

Glad to have been of service. Maybe I will try my hand at a diorama in 1/700 from her final heroic moments, that would be a real challenge ... first a few more 1/350 builds, and then I would like to start on the Arno XI, it has been boxed far to long
