Hi. New from UK

Recommended Posts

Hello, just started modelling. Bought a Mantua model and dry fitted a lot of parts. The pieces all look good to my inexperienced eye but the instructions are hopeless. The model is a 1:40 Viking Ship. It seems to me that the biggest challenge for me at this point is going to be the planking ( so glad I started with a relatively simple model) Is there any helpful links on this site for 'planking for beginners'? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Frosty.

Have a look here. The link takes you to one of the pages at our parent organization, the Nautical Research Guild. Lots of other resources available there as well. Enjoy looking around!

Cheers,

Chris

Frosty! Hi! I agree with you on the sometimes hopeless directions. I sometimes think people without a lick of experience do these. You are on the right track dry fitting. Maybe there is a youtube video out there to help.
