Haven't updated in awhile received the wood decks can't do much work at the moment because of the subzero temps here. I have a heater in my garage but Iv'e been unable to get the temp above 40 F , hopefully I will be able to get some work done this weekend . Hope everyone is well . 20190125_154712_zpsuy8jbqs0.jpg20190125_154704_zpszua3gopu.jpg

Tamiya Extra Thin with the green cap. It's acetone based so it evaporates pretty fast. Hold parts in place, a quick swipe with your glue brush, count to 5 and it's bonded. Not super hard; should let it set up an hour or so. I generally have 3 kits going, so I can rotate through various steps in a session.

May want to rough up the mating surfaces even for CA glue.  That works on resin parts, too.

I use plastic specific glue for the kit parts from the spruces, anything else metal like is attached with CA. I like BSI insta-cure+ . No specific treatments whatsoever. I do, however, remove any paint from the surfaces which will be glued, but for the spot where I need to glue a brass piece on if that happens to be after painting. I try to get all brass on before priming, which, as you will have encountered also, is not always evident
