Name the Ship Game

RMS Olympic

It's not a four masted barque, barques don't have square sails on the aft mast.  It's a four masted ship (or a five masted barque and we can't see the fifth mast).

How about Wendur?

Great maaaslo!

Smart move using a scanned photo from a book!

since it is not present directly in the web, now we are forced to use really the brain! ;)

Google cannot anymore be the key factor for solving your puzzle!

That the end of a lazy search with Google, using the brain in "stand-by mode"! :D

Cristiano, it would be smart move if i have done it. i have done search in the book for a vessel with interesting history, then looked for a good picture of the same vessel. so you still can be looking for the ship online.

Bill, this list is handy, my ship is present there...

According to the listing at http://www.bruzelius.info/Nautica/Ships/Fourmast_ships/Northam%281858%29.html, the Northam was rebuilt as a four masted ship in 1877...now to find a good picture to see if it is close!

Is it the former screw steamer Periere re-rigged to four-mast ship and renamed Lansing in 1888?

Molasses, bingo. She indeed was originally pereire, after she was wrecked and salvaged she was rerigged as 4masted full rigger. She had colourfull history and have sailed many times around cape horn. She sadly was broken up for scrap metal at the end of her career as so many of them before... Now its your turn to give us some good one. Good luck.

Not exactly, but close enough.  The photo is of G. D. Kennedy (formerly the Dunboyne) the sail training ship for Rederiaktiebolaget Transatlantik from 1915 to 1923, which was renamed af Chapman when she was converted to a sail training ship in the Swedish Navy in 1923.  She is now owned by the City of Stockholm and has been used as a youth hostel since 1949.

It's your turn, st george.
