Thanks Anja - I ordered a display case and just received it last week, so now I have to get a base done and finally get my build under glass !!!

I now have my display case finished - I had a local plastic shop make it for me and it only cost me $ 140.00. What a bargain - I will be using them again - I made the base with a nice piece of pine and used hemlock for the mouldings - i think it looks pretty good.post-489-0-08554500-1384789306_thumb.jpg

Hi Lawrence

Thank you very much for the kind words about my build - my Bounty is far from museum quality but it being my first ship model I am very satisfied. I don't know what type of cement that they used to glue the plexyglass, but the front, top and back are all one piece and are bent to shape and the ends are glued on. I will try to find out what cement they used to glue the case. I live in a condo and the executive have asked me if I would put my Bounty on display in the lobby of our building - it will be going on display this weekend !!!

Hi Lawrence

I have already started on my next build - I inherited a Billings Bluenose ( check my build log )that was partly done and I am working on the Gorch Foch by OcCre . I'm really enjoying the OcCre kit - it has great parts and very nice intructions.
