Dear friends,

 

I'm looking for some information about the steam anchor windlass on the attached picture.

It is supposed to be on the deck of steam yacht Medea(1904) 

 

Especially a view from the other(front) side would be very helpful.

Hopefully a member close to San Diego could do better.

 

Interesting. It is the first steam windlass i have seen with upright steam engines. Perhaps because of tight space on the forecastle?

Hey Per, thank you very much. That's perfect.
 

I do have only some drawings and trying to find out what it looks like. Up to now I found out that it exactly matches to the steam winch on Medea.
