About diodes:I use common LED orange-yellow colour. There are two types of LED - brighter/strongly luminous (used in interior of cabins) and classic with normal luminosity (used in lanterns and outside parts of the model). Inside the model Royal Caroline there are four separate electrical circuits, each one has 2 or 3 LED connected in series with resistor before first LED (+). That Pegasus figure was beautifully modelled, Doris. With a fully-round figure, would you make it in two halves, or model it completely in the round? With a fully-round figure I make the second half after baking the first one.The clay is sticked onto the baked half of figure and here is shaped the same way (as you could see on videos) till it is ready for baking again. Some parts are made separately and after baking attached to the sculpture. For shaping this clay I use pointed tweezers, tip of a pen and my fingers. All is made on a wax paper, not to stick the modelling clay to its surface after baking. To Anja: Sovereign of the seas is my favourite sailing ship, I wished to create the model as realistic as possible. Sergal/Mantua wooden set was too expensive for me, so I decided to make a scratch build and used card and other available materials. I cooperated with two captains who helped me with realistic details. I spend more than 6000hours to build SoS. Window frames are made of paper and glued precisely on both sides of the glass (the glass is put without bonding). I have started with interior of main cabin, I made a base of wall panels (combination of paper and wooden look foils).Soon I am going to start with decoration of the hull, so there are added roofs above quarter galleries.
