  1. Royal Katherine looks fantastic Doris. Happy New Year to you and hope you have a great many modelling years to come.
  2. Time for a clue me thinks. This ship is connected to Alfred Lord Tennyson.
  3. At first I thought it was the Wavertree, but the building in the background doesn't look like New York. Now found the building and ship in Melbourne. Is it the Polly Woodside?
  4. Is it possibly a Dutch Whaling ship Jan ?
  5. Correct Werik. HMS Bellerophon was a dreadnought of the Royal Navy. She was the lead ship of the Bellerophon class, and the fourth Royal Navy vessel to bear the name of the mythic Greek hero. Built at the Royal Dockyard in Portsmouth and completed in 1909, Bellerophon first joined the 1st Battle Squadron and then upon the outbreak of war joined the 4th Battle Squadron where she remained until 1919. She was present at the Battle of Jutland where she fired sixty-two 12 inch rounds and received no damage. With the end of the war she was placed in the Reserve Fleet and sold for scrap in 1921 before being taken to the breakers two years later. Over to you.
  6. Time for a clue I think. She is A Royal Navy ship and the fourth to have the name.
  7. Is it the Aphrodite. Built in 1937 by the Purdy Boat Company?
  8. No time to play today, as work calls. I last saw that ship in Monte Carlo in 1978. I'll see if anyone has it when I get home.
  9. I think Robhvw got there first with M33.
  10. Nokaze was the last of 39 Japanese destroyers to fall victim to a US Navy Sub during the War.
  11. I'll give it to you Slog. It is actually HMS Victorious, one of the nine Majestic Class pre-dreadnoughts. Victorious served in the Mediterranean Fleet 1897–1898 and 1900–1903, on the China Station 1898–1900, in the Channel Fleet and Atlantic Fleet 1904–1906, and the Home Fleet 1907–1914. She served as a guard ship on the British coast in 1914 and early 1915. She then served as a disarmed repair ship at Scapa Flow 1916–1920, after which she was renamed Indus II before being scrapped in 1923.
  12. Very close Slog. In the same class though.
  13. Can't make out the Flag. Is it Spanish?
