  6. Prinz Eugen by Jack Aubrey - 1:150

I made this model totally from scratch in 1968. I started from a plan in 1/200 scale and I redesigned it in 1:150 scale. Then I started to build it and I took three years to complete. It ia a dinamic model, that means it is motorized and radio controlled but I put it into water only one time. After that event it stays on my forniture in the living room. Cheers, Jack.

  7. Soleil Royal, 1:70 by Jack.Aubrey

A model of the Soleil Royal, published by De Agostini as a partwork.

Construction began April 18th, 2010 and ended on August 8th, 2014, after 1,550 days. Obviously, in this period I did many other things, not only ship modeling, which explains the long time passed from the beginning and end but I'm rather slow and I can do nothing to be faster.

The model has been heavily customized by me, in practice it came out as a model with totally different colors and woods and also the presentation mode, where, for reasons of space, I sacrificed the masts and yards to be able to build a display case of a reasonable size.

Here follow a good number of images of the model as finished, where for obvious reasons of photographic techniques, I removed the plexiglas cover. However, some photos al the end of this gallery will be presented with the complete display case.

    Regards, Jack.Aubrey.
