Small update, Got shrouds on the Fore Mast. I have to redo the second lanyard from the bow, I turned it the wrong way. I managed to get the third deadeye too high so that has to come off also to be redone. Figured I would post this now otherwise it wouldn't happen for another week!!
That's all the news for now.

Here is a little update of the stern block fillers
to make these blocks was a bit tricky
because there is 2 curves in a very small aria
the planks must touch the stern at least in 30 degrees because you need after all sand the stern and making hem 3 mm include the first plank  !  So after making the curve between the bulkhead to the stern you must make a a other curve in the end of the first curve i mean in the aria were the block filler meeting the stern ...

by the way i didnt glue the gallery supports until now ...
and after all thanks God im very happy that i didnt do it until now ! There was a very massive sanding work in that aria of the block filler so without the gallery suport it was easy to work and also by doing the sanding /fairing work without the gallery supports it keep me from making any damage to the gallery supports !
    Cheers ,
    Michael.

Your back must still be bothering you then Carl.
And so it begins, my first ratlines are on. 2.5 hours to get tp this point! Need some adjustment still,  they are not secured yet, I want to get some practice first. The macro shots really show the variations I have.

Not sure if I am going to try to fix the middle lanyard or not it means replacing the entire lanyard and the difference in the length of the seizing (frapping?) isnt as noticeable from a regular viewing distance.

    Onward!!

    Hey JP.
    First of all, Welcome

From what I undersatnd from others, Research what ever ship/Boat your looking at, See if any one else is building it, good point of referance.  For you first build, Personaly dont take on any large builds... most of all take your time and enjoy every miniute of the build. if your not happy with something you have done. do it again! I do.

Find a build you will be happy to look at for years once complete.

hope this is something to go on.

    Cheers

    HI Michael,

Glad you sorted the first problem out with the cross section..

With out looking over my build log, I thing I did a 4 plank shift on the lower deck, To  be honest,, you are going to see almost next to nothing once the upper deck is fitted. I like most people did the planking made cannons and rigged . as I personally Knew I wanted to have it 100% built. but few only rigged etc what will be seen.. that is your sole choice .( i'm glad i did mine)

With the **** system on the lower deck and uppers deck, I found the centre line and worked out both way from there.. TBH  I wish I started hard to one side and just worked out might have been easier.
    Look forward to your progress.
