    Can anyone tell me the best way to deck the ship. The plans say a 2 butt shift system, each one 10cm in length. Is it best to cut each plank 10cm first then glue? Also what's the best way to simulate the nail holes at the edge of each plank? Any help appreciated.

    Your kit is like mine. It did not come with any manual only instructions and 2 plans. Constructo can give you the manual on the new kit but there are some differences.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
