  1. Camouflage applied to Langley prior to her sinking? If so any idea what colours might have been used Martin.
  2. Lovely work, the weathering on the planes looks great, on such a small scale. Martin.
  3. That is a stunning looking model, how are you using it with the Langley ? keep up this great build, loving what your doing. Martin.
  4. I am inclined to agree with the other comments, it’s the lighter shade for me as I am sure the bleaching effect on the open deck would have taken place. ( but of course I may be wrong) Martin.
  5. Absolutely love the weathering effects you have carried out so far, you have a marvellous eye for it. Martin.
  6. I will take my hat off to you Ed, you have produced a very beautiful ship, and thank you for letting us come along for the journey. Martin
  7. Thank you Ed, along with Grant it really is a joy to see the updates on Naiad. I also noticed your neat little sanding block in the photos, very nice. Regards Martin
  8. Hi Anthony, I have to admit that the price of getting one of Jim's table saws across the pond can be off putting, but believe me if you can put up with the cost of shipping you will not be put off with the saw. like everyone else who has one,we would to a man, sing its praises. They don't come any better. Martin. p.s. I looked at everything over here and could not find anything to match it.
  9. Grant they look soooo nice, well done. What make of files did you get in the end ? Martin.
  10. Paddy, you lucky man, wish you all the best with your new machine (toy). I am sure you will soon be making some lovely ropes. Me green with envy Regards Martin.
  11. Really clever way of making the Frames Danny, do you have a special jig for moving the frame over the saw when it is being rebated ? You have never seemed to drop your standard of workmanship on this build, but keep pushing the standards higher, well done. Regards, Martin.
  12. Nice work Rusty, it is good to make your own mark on the build and of course you are not only the builder of, but also the captain of your ship. Regards, Martin.
  13. Kevin, They are worth every penny, I just snuck them in under the radar when the Admiral had one of her major shopping expeditions. And as for being sold on when I depart this world, I expect them to be buried with me (pharaoh style) for use in the next life. Martin.
  14. Well done Grant a nice piece of thinking outside of the box, thanks for sharing it with us. I will have a go when I get to that stage of the build. Martin.
  15. Thank you Paddy, it has been very frustrating not being able to do anything, but it's my own fault, so nobody else to blame. Martin.
  16. Thanks Grant, stitches all out and having physio on hand so its coming along, back to playing with wood soon. Regards Martin.
  17. Thanks very much guys I intend to have a great day, and I hope you all have a great one to. All the best, Martin.
  18. Well done Ed, time to break out the champagne and pat yourself on the back (or your choice of drink, and sadly we can't pat you on the back) for she has turned out to be a beautiful ship. Martin.
