Fishing Sloop Bretagne, 1908 Updated1:48 scale plank-on-bulkhead model of a 12-meter (40 foot) French boat used for fishing and lobstering out of Camaret, France. Hundreds of these boats were built from the late 1800s to the mid 1900s. The real Bretagne (pronounced Brittany) CM1697 was built in 1908, and was a boat of this type. Although its general dimensions were recorded, it appears that no photographs or plans of the Bretagne exit. The model is primarily made of basswood, with paper sails.
