You can also get large plans printed and shipped to you online, on paper or mylar if needed.
That's where I had mine done. Had them in my hands about a day and a half after ordering.

Weekend progress. Have most of the stem assembled. I used the ultimation sander to clean up the ends. I removed the 120 grit sand disc that came with it and replaced it with 220. The 120 is a little too much for this. I glued the two halves of the lower keel together and the first section of the keel which forms the boxing joint. The inner parts are just dry fit for now.

Everything looks like a good fit.

That probably would have been the right thing to do Rick.

Starting with the stem. I just did a quick dry fit and everything fits together almost perfectly. I haven't touched anything yet and just very minor adjustments needed. Doesn't get any better than this. I won't remove any laser char from the surfaces until they are glued together. Don't want to risk rounding over any edges.

This will be my build log for the Speedwell. I just received the box yesterday so not much to talk about yet. I need to go through the parts and make sure all is organized. I am planning on having a copy made of the plans in Tyvek and a second paper set. I don't plan to cut them up. I can just print the areas of the plan at scale that I need using the pdf's provided by Chuck. I haven't set up a build board yet but I will probably build the keel and all the frames first anyway. More to come.

Wow. Speeding right along. Not sure I understand what went wrong on your keel assembly.

Mostly due to the size and available (or I should allowable based on my wife’s review) display space I’m really trying to convince myself Speedwell is not my next project. With each new innovation that gets harder and harder to do…..I mean, to scale door handles and books on a table in the cabin, wow.
Right. Waiting to see your build log.

I think the key to not removing too much material is to let the sandpaper or stick do the work. No need to apply a lot of pressure when sanding.

Hi there Andrew. You already had a build log started for this model back on June 12. I merged the December post with the original build log. There is no need to create a new log for each entry, just add your new posts onto your original build log.
Thanks,
Jeff
